|Additional Position Information: * Represents Location Pay for full-time appointees. Hours of work: 12AM-8AM; Days of week: Mon-Fri; Hours per week: 37.5. Hours may change on an as needed basis according to departmental operating needs.|
Brief Description of Duties:
NYS Licensed radiological technologist with DOH injection certification required to perform MRI and CT exams Must be ARRT certified in MRI or CT (MRI CT registry eligible )with current BCLS certification /and maintain all required CE's for continued certification. Demonstrates the ability to perform all MRI and CT procedures with established protocols, without direct supervision Demonstrate the ability to perform Interventional Radiology procedures. Responsible for patient care while performing imaging, to include accuracy of patient identification/correct procedure/correct laterality. Able to deal with emergent situations and coordinates work schedule to facilitate patient procedures. Must maintain conditions in MRI and CT area which foster an environment focused on patient safety. Must have prior experience with computerized patient information systems, including Radiology Information Systems and PACS. All exams must be completed immediately in RIS and verify on PACS. Duties include burning CD's and DVD's when necessary. Hours may change on an as needed basis according to departmental operating needs. Maintains principle of ALARA. Responsible for maintaining supplies and checking for expired items on a monthly basis. Responsible for maintaining all patient related logs (i.e. pt. incidents/CTDI vol./Infiltrates/etc.). Performs daily/ weekly/ monthly QA on MRI and CT equipment and document search. Responsible for informing supervisor when equipment is off line including contacting service and recording the service ticket number. Must attend all department sponsored In-services relative to MRI, CT, IR and departmental issues.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
New York State license required. ARRT (CT) registration preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostic CAT Scan and Interventional Radiology procedures preferred. Hospital experience preferred.
