|Additional Position Information: * Represents Location Pay for full-time appointees. Hours of work: 9:00AM - 5:00PM; Days of week: Monday - Friday; Hours per week: 37.5|
Brief Description of Duties:
The Nurse Practitioner will work with the Director of Employee Health Services; Physicians to provide primary medical care, including emergency care for all students; Provide emergency medical care for employees; Perform pre-employment exams and annual health assessments; Administer vaccinations and tuberculin testing to students and employees. The Nurse Practitioner must also: Provide compassionate and skillful care to all patients utilizing the Student/Employee Health Service. Assist the staff in maintaining compliance with University Hospital of Brooklyn, the New York State DOH, OSHA, and Joint Commission regulations with respect to health screening and immunization of staff and students in the institution. Provide accurate documentation of all care, including the filing of Employee Accident Reports and Worker’s Compensation forms. Enhance wellness activities among our students by participating, when appropriate, in group session outreach activities. Provide phlebotomy as needed. Makes referrals to private physician and/or specialist for employee and students as needed.

|All successful candidates must undergo various background checks, maintain credentials required for continued employment and adhere to the SUNY-DMC UHB Principles of Behavior. Clinical Faculty and Allied Health professionals must receive and maintain Medical Board authorization.|
REQUIRED: NYS RN License. MS desgree in Nursing and NYS Certification as a Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). BLS and ACLS Certifications. Evidence of participation in ongoing education. PREFERRED: A minimum of (2) two years post-licensure Clinical Nursing experience
